Bob Schmitt - President
Bob is a veteran of IBM and Digital Equipment Corp, where he held
positions in sales and marketing. He worked at IBM from 1968 – 1978
in various sales and marketing positions, his last position being sales
manager of the IBM office in Buffalo, New York
He joined Digital in New Hampshire as Sales Manager for the tele-communications
business. He held various positions during his tenure at Digital
including VP of Marketing for the United States, VP of Sales and Marketing
for Far East Area, and VP of Technical Support for the US, responsible
for the operations of the sales support organization of over 2,000 people.
Bob left Digital in 1997 to become VP of Marketing for Viisage Technology, and
left Viisage in 1998 to form Biometrica Systems, Inc.
James M. Pepin - VP Sales and Marketing
Since 1999, Jim has led the Company’s sales and
marketing efforts, growing from a small base of customers
to over 160 casino clients worldwide.
Jim has been a guest speaker at several security and gaming
industry conferences, including the American Society for Industrial
Security’s (ASIS) International Gaming and Wagering Protection
Program, the Las Vegas Security Chiefs’ Association,
the National Indian Gaming Association annual gaming
conference, as well as many regional gaming conferences.
Jim has appeared as a gaming consultant on several
television specials including Casino, and On The
Inside, on the Discovery Channel, Entertainment
Tonight, and shows on ABC-TV News, NBC News, MSNBC,
FOX News, The Travel Channel, and the card counting
documentary The Hot Shoe, etc.
Before coming to Biometrica, Jim spent 20+ years
at Xerox Corporation in a variety of sales and sales
management positions in Xerox’ various Chicago-area
locations, including their Major Markets Branch and
their Midwest Regional Office.
Jim is an active member of the Casino Management
Association, and is part of the inaugural graduating
class of the CMA Certification Series, which was
held in conjunction with the Community College of
Southern Nevada. Jim graduated from Marquette University
with a B. A. in Business Administration and specialization
in Marketing.
David Garcia - Technical Support Manager
David leads the company's effort in providing 24 hour technical support for all customer clients.
He is responsible for all aspects of technical support and software installations.
David has over 11 years
experience in computer hardware and software support. David holds an Associates Degree in Information
Technology from ITT Tech. He also served in the United States Army as a Ground Systems Surveillance Technician.
Bruce Gates - Qualifying Agent
Bruce Gates has thirty one years law enforcement experience: Seven years with the Las Vegas Police
Department, five years with the Nevada Division of Investigations and Narcotics and nineteen years
with the Nevada Gaming Control Board Enforcement Division, retiring in 1999.
Since 2000 Bruce has conducted casino fraud training for the gaming industry and regulators. His
training experience includes Nevada POST, UNLV Gaming Institute and the National Judicial College.
Bruce has been licensed Private Investigator since 2002, and is currently the Qualifying Agent for
Biometrica Systems.
